At our training facility located in Toledo, Washington we are providing a personalized training approach tailored to you and your dog. When you’re training a new dog, most people think this should happen overnight. That after only a few sessions your dog should sit, lay, heel, and everything else under the sun for you. While that’s just not how good dog training works. In all cases of training and developing relationship with a dog, the human must be trained as well. Probably more so than the dog.
Think about it, an expert horse trainer still takes two years to train a horse. Athletes take 10 - 15, or more years to be truly exceptional at their sport. You’ll get a dog that will perform some tasks when bribed for a cookie or toy or out of avoidance for a correction, but will not work for you! When it comes to the times you actually need them to perform in public or under high distractions or challenging environments, the training will be lost on them.
